Obituary of Jerry E. Holmes

Jerry E. Holmes Jerry E. Holmes, 34, of Canastota, passed away on March 25, 2018, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born on January 9, 1984, in Jellico, TN, a son of Ronald E. Roy and Wendy Holmes. Jerry attended Rome Schools and went on to earn his G.E.D. Jerry was presently employed by Gypsum Express of Syracuse as a Truck Driver. He is survived by his mother, Wendy Holmes Grosjean, Rome; a son, Aidan Holmes, IN; his mother's fiancée, Larry Messenger, who was like a father and good friend to Jerry; along with several aunts , uncles and cousins. Jerry was predeceased by his father Ronald E. Roy and step -father, Jeffrey Grosjean. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday from 1-4 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery.
