Joseph K. Pazdur Jr. 89 of Whitesboro passed away peacefully on May 8, 2017 at Faxton-St. Lukes Hospital. He was born on May 15, 1927 in Rome, N.Y. a son of the late Joseph and Bernice Cieslewitz Pazdur Sr. Joseph graduated from Rome Free Academy and went on to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Navy. On July 5, 1947 he was united in marriage to Mary Willson in Transfiguration Church, Rome. Joseph owned and operated Riggalls Construction of Rome, where he was able to work side by side with his two sons Robert and Bryon. He was past President of The Rome Club and was a former member of the V.F.W. and American Legion of Rome.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Pazdur of Whitesboro; two sons, Robert Pazdur, GA, Bryon Pazdur and wife Diane, FL; a daughter-in-law Karen Pazdur, VA; one sister, Barbara Noffer, Rome; three sister-in-laws, Barbra Pazdur, Rome, Sally Healy,Williamstown, Helen Willson, Vernon; six grandchildren, Danielle Anderson (Gregg), Robert Joseph Pazdur II (Morganlee), Matthew Michael Pazdur (Hannah), Michael Bryon Pazdur (Angelica Veglia), Ayralynne Diane Coviello (Andrew) and Steven Pazdur (Paige); four great grandchildren, Ayden Pazdur, Bailey and Blake Anderson, Chloe Pazdur; a special cousin Helen Ann Chomin and several nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by a brother Frank P. Pazdur and a sister, Betty Siepiola.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 13, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at Transfiguration Church. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday from 1-4 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.
