Obituary of Kenneth T. Burns

Kenneth T. Burns, 79, of Holland Patent, passed away on August 12, 2022.

He was born in Rome on July 12, 1943, a son of the late Francis and Edna (Moore) Burns.  Ken served his country in the United States Army.  He worked at Rome Cable for many years and at Hubbell.  He was a handy guy and a good mechanic.  Ken enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and riding his motorcycle with the Mohawk Valley Riders.  He enjoyed family picnics and time with his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, most of all.

He will be missed by his daughters, Tina Lowery and Jim Marchione of Rome and Joanne and Cristin Burns of Rome; his companion of 24 years, Victoria Payne; his grandchildren, Julie Curran and Jay of Syracuse, Danny Curran and Danielle of Rome, Brittany Burns and Brandon of Rome, Johnny Lowery and Dana of Rome; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Emma, Tyler, Trevor, Lily, Trip, Annabelle, Lillian, Cass, AJ and JJ; sisters, Geraldine Burns of Rome, and Benita and Firth Turner of Holland Patent; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Kathy Jones and Sharon Williams.

All are invited to call from 4-7pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Road, Rome.  There will be no public services.
