Obituary of Jennifer King

Jennifer L. King

   Jennifer L. King, 53, of Rome, passed away on June 22, 2022, at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on February 11, 1969, in Rome, N.Y. A daughter of the late Leo Converse and Ruth King. Jennifer was a graduate of Rome Free Academy, Class of 1987 and she was a long term employee of Mazzaferro's Meat & Deli of Rome. Jennifer was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Rome.

   She is survived by her children, Jacob Kohn of Rome, Brianna King of South Burlington, Vermont and Emily McLellan of Georgia; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Nick Mattia, Colleen and Vince Stella; four brothers, Gary, Bruce, Steve Converse and Pete Evans; one grandchild, Leo McLellan. Special friends, Shane Johnson, Michelle and Robert Blu; along with several nieces, nephews and many life-long friends. Jennifer was predeceased by a sister, Karen Converse; brother, Leo Converse Jr. and nephew, Jamie Caffrey.

   Jennifer’s family would like to thank the Albany Medical Center’s Surgical I.C.U. Team for the wonderful care that they provided to their mother.

 A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 6P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 P.M. to 6 P.M. prior to the service.
