Lillian Catherine McDonald Berg Lillian Catherine McDonald Berg, 91, formerly of Rome, passed away peacefully on Wednesday. April 21, 2021 with her loving family by her side in Navarre, Florida. She was born May 27, 1929 in Carthage, NY, daughter of William and Estelle Rounds. Lillian was a devoted mother, grandmother, and “Nana” who was greatly loved and will be missed beyond words. She is predeceased by her first husband, Neil D. McDonald (1969), second husband, James A. Berg (2017), daughter, Neila G. Barlow (2010), beloved son, Danny R. McDonald (2017), son in law Patrick L. Burns (2007), as well as four sisters and four bothers. Lillian is survived by daughters, Darlene A. Burns (Patrick) Rome, NY, Paula M. Aregood (David), Navarre, Florida, seven grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brother David Rounds, Carthage, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Strong-Burns, & Sprock Funeral Home, 7751 Merrick Rd. Rome, NY with interment in St. Peters Cemetery Rome, NY. The family extends a very special thank you to J.T. Sprock for his care and expertise given to our mother.
