James Allen Sezna, 70, of Rome, died on February 5, 2021. Born in Rome on June 25, 1950, Jim was a son of Edward and Beverly (Smith) Sezna. He graduated in 1969 from Rome Free Academy where he was on the varsity football and track teams. Jim attended Norwich University in Vermont. He was retired from Revere Copper Products, Inc. An avid outdoorsman and golfer, Jim was also a member of the Rome Rhinos Rugby Club.
Jim was predeceased by his parents and brother, Edward W. Sezna. Surviving are sisters Patricia Sezna Haggerty, Dewitt, NY and Christine Sezna Hurlbut, Rochester, NY: brothers David J.P. Sezna, Rome, NY and Steven B. (Patricia) Sezna, Los Angeles; nephews Michael J. (My Tran) Hurlbut, Arlington, VA and Thomas W. (Brenna Bethancourt) Haggerty, New Orleans, LA; niece Jaime Hurlbut (Christopher) Emmons, Binghamton, NY; and 5 grandnieces.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2021.
