Obituary of Patricia M. Katz

Patricia McGuire Katz, passed away January 30, 2021. Born May 21, 1930, in Utica, a daughter of John and Ceil McGuire. Pat loved her Irish heritage and was an avid sports fan (especially Notre Dame and the Red Sox), she enjoyed spending time with her family. Pat was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sisters, Ceil (John) Hyde, Betty, Rosemary, Joan and Therese McGuire; her husband David, son Dennis and grandson Dennis Paul. Pat was a member of St Peters Parish in Rome. She is survived by her son, Dave Katz, daughter, Peggy Moore and grandchildren Michael (Amy) Hughen, David (Jessica) Katz, Michelle Katz, Nicole (Mark Dunagan) Brockway, Chelsea (Anthony) Pettinelli, Brandon (Kristi) Moore and Becky Wiggins. Great grandchildren Macy, Abbey and Chelsea Hughen, Emma Katz, Macie Moore, and Leo and Ellie Pettinelli; a niece, Maureen (Mike) Zumpano, a nephew, Kevin Hyde and special friends Rozanne Marshall, Jodi Patterson and her daughters Chloe and Brooke. We would like to thank the employees of MVHS Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for the loving care they showed to our mom.

Funeral services will be held in the spring at St. Peter’s Church, Rome. Interment will take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
