Giuseppe Antonio Dainotto 80, of Rome, passed away unexpectedly on January 22, 2021, after a brief battle with COVID-19. He was born on July 27, 1940, in Cattolica Eraclea Provincia of Agrigento , Italy, a son of the late Carmelo and Maria Beddia Dainotto. On December 29, 1964 he was united in marriage to Francesca “Gina” Fedele in Naro Provincia Agrigento, Italy. Giuseppe was a member of St. John the Baptist Church of Rome, N.Y. He was formerly employed by Rome Iron Works, until his retirement. Giuseppe will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and family man.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Gina; cherished children, Maria (Richard) Griffo, Eleonora (Michael) Occhipinti all of Rome, Carmelo Dainotto, Barneveld; sister’s, Caterina Brutto, Italy, Josephine (Santino) Emmanuele and Francesca Maltese, all of Rome; a brother, Vincenzo (Antoinette) Dainotto, Rome; six grandchildren, Concetta, Gregorio (Adriana) Griffo, Gina (Zachariah) Kierpiec, Arlena, Michael and Isabella Occhipinti; five great grandchildren, Giuliana Griffo, Maria and Francesca Kierpiec, Peyton Houston and a great grandson who was named after his grandfather, Giuseppe Antonio Kierpiec. Giuseppe was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Giovanni Brutto and Carmelo Maltese.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1 P.M. at St. John The Baptist Church of Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday from 3-7 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Entombment will take place in the spring at St. Johns Cemetery.
