Obituary of Julie A Bathke Newey

Julie A Bathke, 53, of Rome NY passed away unexpectedly January 15th, 2021. She was born May 2, 1967 in Rome. She was the youngest daughter of Benjamin L. Bathke and Rose Mary Roe. Julie attended Rome schools and was an Auxiliary member of The American Legion and VFW in Rome. She will be remembered by her family for her free spirit, kind soul, and the love she had for her family and friends. There was not a person she met whose name she didn't remember. "To all those near and far, I love you to the moon and back" is how she ended all of her conversations. Julie is survived by a daughter, Tanya Bathke (Kevin Brewster) of Tennessee; her mother Rose Mary Roe of Rome; siblings Michele (Fred) Pacicca of Rome, Benjamin M. Bathke(Allyson Rowden) of Florida, Mary (Al) Moroughan of Rome, Sharon (Steve) Savoy of Florida, and Donny (Debbie )Bathke of New Hartford. Several nieces and nephews, as well as, great nieces and nephews who referred to her fondly as Aunt Juju along with many dear cousins and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved pet Cali Cat. She was predeceased by her Father Benjamin L. Bathke and a nephew Christopher M. Bathke. Memorial contributions can be made to Jennah's Journey Inc. 113 Cedarcrest Ln Oneida, NY 13421. Funeral services will be held privately at the request of the Family.
