Obituary of Mary E. Perrone

Mary Evelyn Perrone Mary E. Perrone 73, of Rome, passed away on June 19, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Merwin and Arlene Jackson Pritchard. Mary attended Rome schools and was formerly employed by Utica Corp. prior to her retirement. She was formerly united in marriage to Joseph Benoit, together they had two sons, Joseph and Richard Benoit. Mary was a member of St. Paul’s Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Judy Benoit of Canandaigua; three sisters, Ardythe (Wayne) Heiser, Judy (Joe) Alam and Sandy (Roy) Darrow; former husband Joseph (Nancy) Benoit; a sister -in-law Debbie Benoit; two cherished grandchildren, Bennett and Breeanna Benoit and their mother Heather Pritchard; along with several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by a son Richard Benoit who passed away on April 21, 2018. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Rome Inc. 6247 Lamphear Rd.
