Obituary of Carol J. Carletta

Carol Jean Carletta Carol Jean Carletta, 85, of Lee, passed away on September 23, 2018, at her home, with her loving family at her side. She was born on February 28, 1933, in Honesdale, PA, a daughter of the late Merritt and Flora Herald Olver. Carol was a 1954 graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in music education. She was united in marriage in 1954 to Michael T. Carletta and together they raised six children. She was devoted member of the Delta United Methodist Church for over fifty years, serving at various times as the choir director, organist, manager of the Corner Closet consignment shop, teacher and director of the nursery school, and member of both the Administrative Board and the Board of Trustees. She also loved camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking, exploring family genealogy, traveling, and attending local concerts and community theater productions. Surviving is her beloved husband, Michael T. Carletta of Lee; a brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Janet Olver of Lacey, WA; and five children: Mary Anne Carletta (Jack Barnett) of Hawley, PA, Beverly Carletta of Dillsbury, PA, Michael Carletta (Kathy Emery) of Carnegie, PA, Jean Carletta (Stephen Gifford) of Edinburgh, Scotland, and Joan Carletta (Jinho Lee) of Brecksville, OH. Also surviving are five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Carol was predeceased by a son, Richard Arthur Carletta, and a brother, Merritt Richard Olver.
