Obituary of Christine E. Moore

Christine E. Moore Christine E. Moore, 71, of Lee, was taken from us unexpectedly on August 26, 2018, with her loving family by her side at Faxton-St. Lukes Hospital. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on October 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Vincent and Alice Dekin Jarecki. Christine was a graduate of Westmoreland High School and on August 7, 1965 she was united in marriage to Jimmy Ray Moore in a ceremony which took place in ST. Mary's Church in Rome, N.Y. She formerly worked at the Rite Aid Distribution Center, Turning Stone Casino and Bon Appetit at Hamilton College. Christine was a member of 40 & 8 of Whitesboro; she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and baking pies and Christmas cookies. When she wasn't working in her garden she would be out shopping looking for the next best deal. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmy; a daughter and son-in-law ,Cynthia and Scott Nell, Vernon; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Laurie Moore, Rome; her mother-in-law, Mattie Moore, FL; a sister, Michelle Langer and her husband, John, Rosendale, N.Y.; a brother, Vincent Jarecki and wife Christy, CA; five grandchildren, Michael (Laura), Taylor (Mike), Adam, James (Megan) and Matthew; one great grandchild Emma Moore; Christine was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Jarecki. Memorial contributions may be made to the 40 & 8 Nurses in Training Program 5163 Judd Road, Whitesboro N.Y. 13492 or St. Mary's – St. Peter's Memorial Fund 105 East Liberty Street, Rome N.Y. 13440 Funeral services will be held on Friday August 31, 2018 at 10:00A.M. at St. Mary's Church in Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday from 4-7 P.M. at Strong – Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Interment will take place in Brantingham Cemetery, Brantingham N.Y.
